ICT Use in Academic Life
Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) play and increasingly important role in academic life for both students and staff. For example, in many universities, students must submit their material in word processed format, normally Microsoft Word. Students are also expected to do presentations, and Microsoft Powerpoint is standard software for slides now rather than the old fashioned approach of overhead projector film and pens. For bigger projects, the use of referencing software such as Reference Manager and Endnote can make referencing much easier, particularly if a particular referencing format is required.
